{"id":2492,"date":"2019-03-01T18:28:51","date_gmt":"2019-03-01T18:28:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/estrategist.com\/members\/?p=2492"},"modified":"2019-03-01T18:28:51","modified_gmt":"2019-03-01T18:28:51","slug":"natural-disaster-seasons-are-a-great-time-to-talk-pollution-insurance-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/estrategist.com\/members\/natural-disaster-seasons-are-a-great-time-to-talk-pollution-insurance-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Natural Disaster Seasons Are A Great Time To Talk Pollution Insurance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>United States Suffered Costliest Natural Disasters in 2018<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As ERMI has coached in the past, Natural Disaster Seasons (NDS, i.e. Flooding, Tornados, Forest Fires, Hurricanes, earthquakes\u2026) are a great time to talk pollution.\u00a0<strong> <u>Most pollution policies do not exclude Acts of God<\/u>..<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During NDS, national and local media are lighting up the airways \/ internet highway with all the pollution problems caused by natural disasters.\u00a0 The wildfires of California released all kinds of toxic chemicals contained in commercial buildings and homes.\u00a0 Residents will not be able to return their property until laborers in masks, Tyvek suits and booties begin cleaning up burned bottles of bleach, melted cans of paint, corroded car batteries\u2026.\u00a0 They will need to scrape through soil until they hit layers that are free from oil and gas and other contaminants released during the fires.<\/p>\n<p>As the fires burn up buildings and homes, they also release the components of modern daily life into the ground, water and atmosphere.\u00a0 In the charred footprint of each building \/ home lurks an invisible and dangerous legacy of toxic chemicals released by the blaze.
