environmental Strategist, between the lines: This is part of Environmentally Preferable Purchasing (EPP) and you and your clients will be seeing a lot more of EPP. environmental Strategist has been reporting for years on EPP such as one that is quite common now, Energy Star. Energy Star is for appliances (clothes washers and dryers, dish washers, ovens, etc) and owes it beginning to EPP.
This competitive environmental intelligence primarily has two strategies I want to discuss. For the buyer of computers, EPEAT will benefit them on the purchase and also on end use (disposal, recycling, etc.). For manufacturers and supplier of computers, EPEAT will be a competitive advantage. If you have not been working toward development of products or selling computer product lines that meet one of the three EPEAT criteria I suggest you do.
Part of being indispensable is to share this competitive environmental intelligence with those who can benefit from it. So if you work with companies that use computers you should share this with them. Come to think of it, I guess you can use this competitive environmental intelligence since you received this via your computer.
